Barolo DOCG Pira 2018

Facing south-east, on the Serralunga and Perno slope, it originated from the breakdown of the Rocche di Castiglione. It has been a monopolised geographical mention and property of our family since 1989, the year it was purchased. Of the eleven municipalities that make up the Barolo production zone, Castiglione Falletto is the most central.

The soils are of marine sedimentary origin dating back to the Helvetian era (this geological formation is the oldest in the Barolo area and includes Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d’Alba and Monforte) during the Tertiary period.
